Find out what lesson Coach Saban taught his players throughout the weekend, plus his pass defense philosophy and more in my practice notebook from Monday before the Missouri game.

White and Hart both out for the season

Alabama has now lost two more players for the rest of the season to knee injuries.

After losing Jalston Fowler in the Western Kentucky game, DeAndrew White and Dee Hart also had season-ending knee injuries in the most recent win over Ole Miss.

At wide receiver, Alabama now has Amari Cooper, Kevin Norwood, Kenny Bell and Christion Jones. Cyrus Jones is the leading candidate to be the first one on the field to substitute, and Danny Woodson Jr. and Marvin Shinn could also see playing time.

Alabama is now down to three running backs: Eddie Lacy, T.J. Yeldon and Kenyan Drake.

Players lash out at media

Like coach, like player.

The Crimson White, the student newspaper, published a photo of running back Jalston Fowler being carted off-the-field after his season-ending knee injury. The players took to Twitter to make their objections with the photo well-known.

***If you look closely, you can see some rather serious (and, WARNING, gruesome) damage to Fowler’s left knee.***

Clearly, Fowler is OK with that photo.
